Today is an excellent day. I went on a date! With a real live girl! My gosh! And it was not OMG THE MOST EPIC ROMANTIC THING EVER but we got coffee and pastries and hung out for an hour or so and it was a pretty nice time. So I feel marginally better about things now

I survived my first week of class-- quite happily, even! I enjoy my studio classes, I enjoy my job-- my art history class has a substantial online participation requirement, and I hate that, but next week we learn to make egg tempera so I will forgive the class that for now

Okay, so week 3 of Couch to 5K involves nine minutes total of running. And week 4 involves 16. Which is a big step up! But after two slightly irregular months on week 3, I thought I would do fine on week 4 and I didn't even finish :( I managed 12 or 13 minutes total, maybe, and then my chest was getting tight and I got a bit nauseous and I said "

I've been failing at jogging the last week or so, not because I don't like jogging, but because I've fucked up my sleep schedule again. For the last several days I've been going to bed at 5AM and waking up at 1PM, and then it's too hot to go jogging and I feel like shit and nothing at all gets done
